Kai Beverly-Whittemore is a director and producer whose work has spanned several continents and includes both narrative and documentary film. As a director her work has been recognized by IFP’s Independent Film Week, the San Francisco Film Fund, the Experimental Television Center Finishing Fund, and the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. In 2010 she directed, co-produced, and co-wrote Camera Obscura starring Sprague Grayden, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and David Guintoli. Her recent work includes the feature film Memphis (Venice Film Festival 2013/ Sundance 2014), which she Assistant Directed with director Tim Sutton and Brooklyn Tide, (2015) which she produced for director Rubidium Wu. In addition to her feature film work, Kai works as freelance director, producer, and cinematographer on commercials and branding videos for international clients including Gucci, Tennis Australia, and Open Road Integrated Media. She is a member of Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective and Film Fatales.
